Incorporating mindful compassion into her therapeutic approach helps an individual or couple tune into and regulate their feelings and explore highly sensitive areas and emotions while feeling safe and in control. Having a long-standing interest in learning about the benefits gained from a regular Mindfulness meditation practice, has led Mercedes to explore how spiritual practices can help us heal from psychological suffering.

During her career she has used a wide range of therapeutic approaches, according to the client’s needs, including ACT, CBT, as well as DBT, Mindfulness and Compassion Focused therapies. Mercedes experience has also included running groups in both public and private hospital settings and is able to offer counselling in Spanish to those clients whose native language is Spanish and have difficulty communicating in English.
