Howard Colin-Thome

Consultant Psychologist, Grad Dip Psych, B. Psych (Hons)

Howard is a Consultant Psychologist who completed his Psychology Honours degree at the University of Western Sydney. Howard has had several years experience working with adults with issues such as anxiety, depression, anger management, self-esteem issues, stress management, trauma, gambling addiction, grief and loss, peri-natal depression and relational issues.

Howard offers a client centred approach which uses a supportive framework to understand each individual’s unique case. The client centred approach also aims to build individual self-awareness and skills to foster individual empowerment. He uses a positive psychology strengths based approach to reconnect individuals with their strengths and assist in overall personal growth and development.

Howard has a special interest in working with individuals with anxiety issues such as OCD and panic disorder using a Meta-Cognitive Therapy Approach. Howard also uses other therapies such as CBT, Mindfulness, Emotion Focused Therapy, Solution Focused Approaches and ACT.

  • Associate Member of the Australian Psychological Society
  • Registered Health Provider under the Australian Health Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Registered provider for Workcover
  • Registered provider under the Access to Allied Psychological Services Program (ATAPS)

 

Fees and Bookings

Howard is able to provide medicare rebates for individuals under a health care plan following each session. Concessions for pensioners and others under financial difficulty are also available.
